I guess we swayed public opinion since then but I haven't heard of it. It was the 1700's, so unless you're over 200 years old you can't really say what went on back there. [More laughter]. ES: Well oh man. MP: I know you've had experience framing houses. Not just a regular 20th century guy? E: Yes, to an extent! You know. psychopaths running around. ES: Yeah. As award-winning actor Eric Schweig led a column of mourners yesterday to a sunburned patch of grass at Vancouver's Grandview Park (the place where a man called Curtis Brick spent his dying moments) the drama seemed like a movie scene.. S chweig has, in fact, appeared in similar scenes on screen many times.. A carver and actor born in Nunavut, Schweig's credits track like a highlight reel of . Eric Schweig was born in Inuvik, Canada, on 19 June 1967. I can't remember. ES: Yeah, it's the same way. In playing this character I can appreciate the other side and I can pull my own weight on the show. They can get egotistical. Eric Schweig is a Canadian born Inuit actor, who is best renowned for his work in the 1992 film, The Last of the Mohicans in which he stars as Chingachgook's son, Uncas. Then I thought about it and it's just that his work ethic is different than everybody else's. I work with sex trade workers and I try to hook them up with agencies that can help them. So, you have the tradition to work with. but are you interjecting your own mood? Nothing like that . I thought I was forgotten, apparently not. think I'd hesitate. And you know, most of them are but where most of them will do 3 or 4 takes of something, whether it's a close up or an establishing shot he'll take 12 [laughs] . or 13. [Laughter]. I'll do it. out but don't stay out too late. You can't put some little guy next to someone like Daniel Day-Lewis. We go down to the gym and I just. my girlfriend and I, we look around for different monologues and scenes for So, the more contemporary films we can do and be allowed to be a part of society and society's subconscious, then the better it will be. No one wants to see this all the time. This is all in the 1800s and actually we shot it over at the ranch where they shot Legends of the Fall. Do you have a message for these people? MP: Okay. E: I think they wanted that, but the height did come into it. MUSINGS || [Laughs] They're not making Spaghetti Westerns. As you've read in the interview, a film project is likely to materialize. ES: No, not when I was there. It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to talk with Eric. discussing The Last of the Mohicans, but became extremely animated when talking about certain topics, particularly his masks and his involvement in a children's drama group. As long as Europeans or Euro-American film makers are making movies about Indian people, there is always going to be this. I'm busy!".
